record Skype calls on PC: Microsoft has started rolling out a very important new feature for its Skype users on various PC, Mac, Android and iOS platforms. it’s about the ability to record Skype calls on PC!

Skype’s VoIP service now allows you to save a copy of a voice conversation and even share it online, a way to keep track of when needed and it’s very convenient especially in the business world .

This feature of Skype calls was initially reserved for customers using the “Content Creator” mode, a mode where users can easily record sounds, live streams or videos for live streaming, or export them. in an application other than Skype.

Then, the option has been extended to a larger number of users around the world with the ability to record Skype calls and all video and audio conversations via this service automatically to the cloud for a period of 30 days before an automatic removal too.

So, how do you record Skype calls on PC ? Follow these simple steps:

On the desktop PC and Mac version:

1- Open Skype and make any call.
2- At the bottom of the current call screen, click on the “+” sign.
3- Click on the “Start Recording” option.
4- A banner will appear in your call to inform all participants that you have started recording

On the version for Android and iOS:

1- Open Skype and make any call.
2- During the call, tap the “+” sign.
3- Press the circular option “Start recording”.
4- As on the desktop version, a banner will appear in your call to inform all participants that you have started recording.

The recording will be available for 30 days. You can download and save the recording locally at any time within 30 days.

How to save Skype call records

It is also possible to save a copy of video and audio calls via Skype locally to your smartphone or desktop and here’s how to do it:

1- On the desktop version for PC and Mac, click on the 3 points “More options” and on the mobile versions (Android or iOS) keep on recording calls.

2- Download and save the recording to a file in MP4 format:
+ On the desktop: Select Save for “downloads” to save the file directly to the downloads folder or Save as to choose the location to save it.
+ On Mobile (Android or iOS): Click Save to download and save your recording.
