How to block automatic update on Windows 10

There are many ways to stop or block the automatic update on Windows. But in this tutorial, we will explain how to do it in a few clicks.

About Windows Update

Windows Automatic Update basically lets Windows do the work for you. The Windows Update feature installed in Windows XP, Vista, and 7 operating systems periodically checks the Microsoft Download Center for updates and patches for your computer. It does it regardless of whether or not you install them on your own, or program your computer to do it. The default settings allow your computer to install these updates automatically as they become available or your computer prompt before you download

Advantages and disadvantages

Advantages

Windows automatic updates download the latest security patches once Windows makes available to users. These patches are designed to address security vulnerabilities or coding errors that hackers and others may use to compromise your system. Instead of requiring you to manually patch each vulnerability, Windows updates as new threats are recognized. You can focus your energy on doing other things, knowing that your system is up to date.

The inconvenient

Automatic Windows updates do not protect you from everything. You should always use firewalls, virus protection, and spyware protection to protect your computer and safely, especially in common situations where many people connect to the same network.
