I don’t normally do political pieces.  I figure you have plenty of people paid to do that, and generally paid a lot more than they should be for what little we get out of them.   However, in this particular case I don’t mind writing a bit about this particular issue.

I have some major issues with this bill.  I know that copyright infringement (particularly on the internet) is a major issue these days, but I believe completely that this bill is simply a method for the copyright holders to circumvent our consitutional rights whether the consumer or the provider, we are about to get royally messed over on this.

I have already written to my congressional representative to express my views.  I hope that if you find this article, you’ll do the same for your representative, and make sure that they understand that while you may not be able to pay as much as the lobbyists for the greedy, you can vote for someone who won’t care as much about the lobbyists for the greedy next term.

If you don’t take action, you have no one to blame buy yourself.  I will end my rant here, and will be back to regular OS X, and computer based tips with my next post assuming that my site isn’t “mistakenly” blocked by the SOPA legislation.
